Research and Development Center
JBS Headquarters in Greeley, Colorado is home to our state-of-the-art tech center, The Summit. The Summit is
a 17,000 sq. ft. USDA-inspected facility, complete with customer interface and processing areas. Our vision
for the Summit is to provide our customers with a competitive advantage through innovation resulting in
new product introductions, cost savings and problem solving. The Summit is available to our customers and
suppliers. We all work, as a team, to develop new ideas and improve existing products and processes.
Research and Development Team
The Research and Development (R&D) Department has a staff of thirty-eight trained professionals. They have
experience and education in the areas of food science, poultry science, meat science, culinary arts,
nutrition, labeling and packaging. All development phases, from conception to commercialization, are
managed to meet the customer’s requirements, in regards to timeline and product specifications.
